Outdoor Spaces Built to Last Through Minnesota Seasons

Retaining walls, paver patios, sod installation, mulch and rock, shrub and tree planting, built to survive Minnesota winters and still look good in year ten.

What we do
Landscape construction from a company that actually grades sites.

Most landscaping companies sub out the grading. We don’t. Every retaining wall, patio, and planting bed we build starts with our excavation crew setting the grade — because if the base isn’t right, the finished product won’t hold. We handle everything from retaining wall construction and paver patios to sod installation, mulch and rock beds, and shrub and tree planting.

We work across the south metro — Shakopee, Prior Lake, Savage, Jordan, Belle Plaine — and we’ve been doing it for over fifteen years. We know which plants survive here, which wall systems actually hold up, and how to build a patio that doesn’t heave after the first freeze. Everything is designed in person, built by our own crew, and guaranteed to last.

Services offered
What we handle.
01
Retaining walls

Block, boulder, and timber walls built on proper footings with drainage behind them. We handle everything from small garden walls to structural walls over four feet that need engineering.

02
Paver patios & walkways

Machine-compacted base, proper pitch for drainage, and clean paver installation with polymeric sand joints. We build patios, walkways, steps, and seat walls.

03
Sod installation

We grade the soil, amend it if needed, and lay fresh sod with tight seams and proper watering instructions. Sod goes down the same day it’s delivered.

04
Mulch & rock beds

Weed fabric, edging, and fresh mulch or decorative rock installed in new or existing beds. We haul off old material if the beds need a reset.

05
Planting

Shrubs, ornamental trees, perennials, and grasses selected for Minnesota hardiness zones. We plant at proper depth, stake if needed, and mulch the root zone.

06
Landscape grading

Rough and finish grading for new construction, regrading settled yards, and establishing proper drainage pitch away from foundations. We use our own excavation equipment.

07
Edging & bed definition

Steel, aluminum, or plastic edging installed along beds, walkways, and driveways to keep a clean separation between lawn and landscape.

Answers to common questions:

Building a retaining wall may seem manageable, but it requires precise planning, proper drainage, and heavy materials. A poorly built wall can fail, leading to structural issues and costly repairs. We ensure your wall is built to last.

We build retaining walls using boulder, block, and timber materials. The right choice depends on your site conditions, the height and load of the wall, and your aesthetic preferences. We design every wall with proper drainage and reinforcement for Minnesota freeze-thaw cycles.

Sod gives you an instant, established lawn and is ideal for new construction, yard renovations, or areas where seeding has failed. Seed is less expensive but takes longer to establish and is more vulnerable to weather and foot traffic during the growing-in period.

Yes. Many landscaping projects start with drainage or grading work. We handle the excavation in-house, so you do not need to coordinate multiple contractors.

Yes, we work with all three. Every patio includes proper base preparation and drainage to ensure it lasts.

Absolutely. Professional landscaping enhances the beauty of your property, increases its value, improves curb appeal, and prevents costly issues like drainage problems and erosion.
